ApplicationXtender Retention Management with EMC Centera® supports the regulated records and litigation support capabilities of EMC Centera®, including EMC Centera® Governance Edition and EMC Centera® Compliance Edition Plus.
With ApplicationXtender Retention Management with EMC Centera®, documents are inaccessible outside of ApplicationXtender, cannot be externally altered, and are only removed from media when they reach their respective expiration dates. ApplicationXtender administrators can easily configure retention policies without the need for separate management applications or interfaces, making this solution ideal for organizations that need to enforce policies for information protection and authenticity.

For future needs, Workgroup users can upgrade easily to the imageWARE Document Manager Enterprise Edition. imageWARE Document Manager Workgroup Edition offers various functions including attribute search (file properties, user index search), full text search, and 6 levels of user access right (applies to folder/file level).
Also, the imageWARE Web Document Server Workgroup Edition option can be added onto the Document Manager for powerful Web-based access, including most of the functions that are available on the desktop.
Canon Imageware Scan Manager
The imageWARE Scan Manager is a production-level image capture and indexing front-end that includes advanced imaging functions, such as zone OCR, barcode and forms recognition, pre/post indexing, and input masking functions. Scan Manager is used for scanning a large volume of documents and efficiently processing index data. The documents and associated indexes are released to the imageWARE Document Manager Workgroup Edition or Enterprise Edition for storage, retrieval, viewing, and authorized editing.
